Privacy policy

testdart ("testdart", "we", "us") is an AI-native software testing platform available at testdart.com and its application subdomains (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Provassure Software Technologies Private Limited, which is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, except where we process data on a customer's behalf as described in "Customer content" below.

This policy explains what we collect when you visit our website, create an account or use the Service, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Account information. Name, work email, company, role, password (stored only as a salted hash) and workspace settings.

Customer content. Material you or your team add to the Service: requirements, specifications, user stories, documents, Jira issues you import, instructions, generated test cases, target application URLs, test credentials you supply for the application under test, execution logs, screenshots and reports.

Usage and device data. Pages and features used, run counts, timestamps, IP address, browser type, and diagnostic logs, used to operate, secure and improve the Service.

Billing information. For paid plans, our payment processor collects your card details directly. We receive only limited details such as the card brand, last four digits and billing address.

Communications. Emails and demo requests you send us, and your preferences for product emails.

• To provide the Service: analysing requirements, generating and executing tests, and producing reports.
• To create and secure your account, authenticate users and prevent abuse.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To respond to demo requests and support questions.
• To send service notices and, where permitted, product updates you can opt out of at any time.
• To understand usage in aggregate and improve reliability, performance and features.
• To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Generating and running tests requires sending relevant customer content to AI model providers that process it on our behalf. They receive only what is needed for the task at hand, under contracts that restrict their use of it to providing that service to us.

We process customer content on behalf of the customer who owns the workspace, to provide the Service to that customer. We do not sell customer content, and we do not use one customer's content to generate tests for another.

Test credentials you supply for the application under test are used only to execute your tests. Please use dedicated test accounts, not personal or production credentials.

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:

• Service providers that help us run the Service: cloud hosting, AI model providers, email delivery, payment processing and customer support tools, bound by confidentiality and data protection terms.
• Members of your workspace, according to the permissions your workspace admins set.
• Authorities, where required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Service.
• A successor entity in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, subject to this policy.

Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service); legitimate interests (to secure, support and improve the Service, and to respond to enquiries); consent (for optional marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time); and legal obligation (for tax, accounting and lawful requests).

We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Customer content is kept for the life of the workspace and deleted within 30 days of the workspace being closed, except where a longer period is required by law. Backups roll off on a fixed schedule. Billing records are kept as required by tax law.

We use encryption in transit, access controls based on least privilege, and separation between customer workspaces. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

We and our service providers may process data in India and in other countries. Where data leaves the country it was collected in, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

To make a request, email hello@testdart.com. We will respond within 30 days. If your data is in a workspace managed by your employer, we may refer your request to them. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

The website uses only cookies and local storage that are needed for it to work. The application uses session cookies to keep you signed in. If we add analytics, we will update this section and, where required, ask for your consent first.

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18.

We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will tell account owners by email before it takes effect.
